Click here to see my latest seamless tiles

As I continue to design seamless tiles with anisohedral’s tiling applet, or with Science U’s Kali application, I hone my Photoshop skills as well.

I plan to make a few tutorials about the process. I’m evaluating CamtasiaStudio and plan to buy it soon. Keeping file sizes small is still the largest problem I have. I need to learn more about streaming the media, and using compression properly. When I can get this down, I’d like to see some nice tutorials on making and defining the patterns that go into my seamless tiles.

Decisions on color areas in the patterns are usually based purely on some mathematical intuition I might have at the time. It makes me want to go back and re-learn my trigonometry lessons. I’d like to remind myself exactly what sines and cosines and tangents and arctangents are all about.
