This pesky pigeon keeps trying to set up headquarters in my flowerpot. You may remember I moved the flowerpot off the baker’s rack there. Well, I had moved it back again, thinking the coast was clear. It wasn’t.

This morning when I went out on my balcony, he was flying over to it with a twig in his beak. And sure enough, in the pot was a collection of twigs, all arranged
circular-wise into a little nest.

I’ve moved the flowerpot again, over to the workout bench, (he’s not likely to feel secure there as it’s much closer to the sliding-glass door.

So with that out of the way for now, I really need to get on to more important things.

The tsunami warning went over and there was no immediate danger, but just now a 5.3 earthquake, centered in San Bernardino, created a bit of a stir around here. Is the Earth coming apart at the seams?

It’s kind of a shame I have to remove the neat little construction of twigs, but alas, I don’t want a pigeon nesting on my balcony, pure and simple. That’s
all there is to it.

Call me cruel, but I’m concerned about the tiny creatures he may be bringing with him into this area. They "mite" be a lot more harmful than the charm of housing a family of pigeons is worth.
