So Much New Stuff

I don’t know where to start.

But then, that’s been my problem for more than five years now. And the years go by, and I still haven’t started, and the technology just gets cooler and cooler all the time.

Check out the new Firefox extension, TabEffects. I’m not sure if it’s just for the eye-candy; it doesn’t seem to provide much more than just a fun way to change from tab to tab, but it really IS cool.

And Wordpress just released it’s newest version. Version 2.1. And they continued in the jazz theme by naming it Ella after Ella Fitzgerald; a worthy tribute. (I thought Matt wanted to get away from the jazz theme and begin naming the versions after his family or some such…)

So, here I am, letting 2007 slip away from me just like I did with 2006. I was at RentACoder in December, looking to get help with the CSS for my LooseArrow3D website, and that fell through; but then, when I went on over to Teli Adlam’s Optiniche blog to get ideas, I found Shawn Grimes’ Sporadic Nonsense, and a referral to a web design team called SliceIt at Dawn Studios.

I chatted with the programmer there, and it seems they can do what I want, for a very reasonable fee. I’ll be checking the BaseCamp to see how the work is coming along, and by Friday, I hope to have, once and for all, the foundation for John’s website that I just couldn’t do on my own. They’ll be upgrading to version 2.1 also, in the process.

Check over at LooseArrow3D.com now, and then again on Friday, to see the before-and-after.

Okay, so I realize I titled this entry “So Much New Stuff”, and I haven’t even mentioned one sixteenth of all of it, but I have to go now; so just stay tuned. I’ll try to elaborate more on it later.
