I created this GIF as a “low source” interim while slightly larger images load on John’s website. It kinda matches the overall design of the site, and with Firefox and Netscape, on my DSL connection, it’s never really shown for long before the images appear. Internet Explorer is slower.
I checked one of the pages at John’s website last night against the W3C XHTML Validator. There were 79 errors. I guess there’s still a lot I need to know about XHTML-compliance. I’m ashamed of the method I’m using to build it, but it’s (sort of) working, and that’s what counts for now. As soon as I can get it simply doing the stuff it’s supposed to, I can then revise it, etc. I mentioned all this in the prior post.
Time to get back to work on it.
